EEO Public File Report

    This EEO Public File Report is filed in Station WCLT’s public inspection file pursuant to Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the Federal Communications Commission’s (“FCC”) rules.  In addition, this report includes the period 23 May 12 - 31 May 12 which was not included in last years report because of the license renewal process and form 396 requirement.

     During the period 23 May 12 through 31 May 13, the station filled 7 full-time positions:

                    3 Announcers
                    1 Sales clerical support

     The hirees  for announcing positions 1 & 2 were hired from the same applicant pool.  A total of 8 people were interviewed.  The following is a list of the recruitment sources that provided interviewees:

     The person hired for announcing position 3 was a walk in and listener to the station.  After hearing several on  air recruitment campaigns they decided to approach us employment consideration.  When they approached us we did not have any positions available.   However, the interviewee so impressed the GM, PD, and Programming consultant, that a position was created and they were hired.

    The following is a list and brief description of menu option activities undertaken pursuant to the FCC’s EEO rules during the time period covered by this report:

- Conducted a student mentorship program with the Licking County Educational Service Center February 13 through 1 May 2013.

- Our Copy Coordinator attended a continuing education webinar, Ohio Advertising Rules and Regulations, presented by the Ohio Association of Broadcasters on May 22, 2013.

- Our General Sales Manager attended a continuing education webinar, Digital Dimes Develop Decent Dollars, presented by the Radio Advertising Bureau on April 18, 2013.

- Participated in the Ohio State University Newark & Central Ohio Technical College career fair on April 1, 2013.

- Our General Sales Manager attended a continuing education webinar, Non-Traditional Isn’t Traditional Anymore, presented by the Radio Advertising Bureau on March 14, 2013. 


- Presented at the Rotary International District 6690 High School Ethics & Leadership conference on May 14, 2013.

- Attended the Harry & David job fair on January 9, 2013.

- Our General Sales Manager attended a continuing education webinar, Digital Changes the Shape of Advertising, presented by the Radio Advertising Bureau on December 6, 2012.

- Our General Sales Manager attended a continuing education webinar, How to Recruit Sales Stars for Your Team, presented by the Ohio Association of Broadcasters on August 3, 2012.

- Our General Sales Manager attended a continuing education webinar, The Secrets of America’s Best Sales Managers, presented by the Ohio Association of Broadcasters on July 25, 2012.

- Conducted a student shadowing program with Licking Valley High School on May 31, 2012.

- Widely disseminated employment opportunities for full time positions  occurring during the reporting period.  We utilized our mailing list, airwaves, Internet job sites, and internal job postings  to ensure broad outreach and awareness.
