The Granville School District will give residents a couple of chances to learn more about the 3-quarters percent school income tax.
On November 4th residents will decide whether or not to they want the school income tax to replace the 7.7-mill property tax.
There will be question and answer sessions at meetings on September 24th, October 8th and October 22nd. Each meeting will take place at 7pm in the new commons area located at the high school at 248 New Burg Street.
The additional 5-year, 7.7-mill property tax that voters approved in May, would generate $2.4- million beginning at the first of the year.
The income tax would generate $2.9-million annually, but the district would have to wait until mid-2005 to collect the full amount.
