The state controlling board has approved a Development Department project for 2003 in Heath.

Receiving funds will be the Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority. It will receive a half million dollar grant from the Roadwork Development account to improve 39-hundred feet of roadway leading to the Central Ohio Aerospace and Technology Center Industrial Park’s expansion area.

This 120-acre property, off Hebron Road, was formerly owned by Kaiser Aluminum. It was sold to the Port Authority last year.

The road improvement project represents a $1.4-million investment in the new industrial site.
