| Pataskala releases first master plan |
Officials say they expect opposition to the city's first master plan since Pataskala merged with Lima Township, in western Licking County, six years ago.
The plan is meant to guide growth for the next 20 years in this Licking County community of about ten-thousand residents.
Under the plan, businesses and commercial developments would be located primarily along State Routes 16 and 310. The northern and eastern parts of the community would keep their largely agricultural atmosphere.
Grace Cherrington -- who lives in rural north Pataskala -- says the plan favors developers. She says parts of the plan would allow commercial growth too close to existing housing.
Officials say the plan might not go to City Council for consideration for at least three months.
