Authorities are looking into what caused a blaze at a vacant home in Pataskala early this (Monday) morning.

Officials say the fire broke out at a home on Alward Road near Broad Street around 3 a.m. and was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived on the scene.

The fire was finally out around 6.a.m.

Officials are considering the fire suspicious because the home had been vacant for a few months.

No damage estimate has been released.
