Jones Will Spend Over 4 Years Behind Bars

A 19-year-old will spend over four years in prison on charges of breaking and entering and grand theft of a motor vehicle.

Scott Jones reportedly broke into two Newark churches and the Big Brothers/Big Sisters office on West Locust Street in January.

Officials say they were looking into whether Jones had a role in as many as seven break-ins at area churches, but no other charges have been filed against Jones at this time.

Jones was put behind bars last year after he was convicted on a receiving stolen property charge.

In addition to prison time, Jones will have to pay all court costs, fees and restitution.
