Georgia transportation officials will replace a confusing sign at the left-hand interstate exit where the deadly Bluffton University bus crash occurred last year.
The National Transportation Safety Board blamed the signs as the primary cause of the accident, but driver error and lack of seat belts were also key factors.
Five Bluffton University baseball players were killed in the crash, as were the bus driver and his wife.
Officials say the bus driver thought he was staying in the car-pool lane when he drove onto an exit ramp, causing the bus to plow through a stop sign and plunge off the overpass.
Officials say all car-pool lane signs on metro Atlanta interstates will be replaced by March 2010.
