WCLT News Staff

With roughly 11 days left to save the Captain Scott House near Alexandria, the Friends of the Captain Scott committee have organized a fundraiser set for Saturday.

The Civil War Supper and live auction will be held at Alexandria Elementary and will start with dinner at 4 p.m. and the auction starting at 6 p.m.

The Alexandria Community Council is accepting all kinds of auction items.

Proceeds will benefit the faded blue Victorian home at state routes 161 and 37.

Almost $80,000 is needed to save the house that is in the path of the 161 widening project.

The public can call 740-924-0516 or e-mail CaptainScott@AlexandriaOH.org. for more information
