Ohio's statewide deer-gun season is open and continues through December 5th.

The state Division of Wildlife predicts more than 400,000 hunters will take to the field each day from a half hour before sunrise to sunset.

Officials also think that 140,000 to 145,000 White-tailed deer will be taken during the week-long hunt.

Many non-resident hunters pick Ohio as a hunting destination for the quality of the deer and hunting accessibility.

Ohio has more than One (M) million acres of land open to the public.
