The Knox County Grand Jury has indicted a Howard woman in connection with the death of a three-year-old boy.

Officials say 27-year-old Erica Colopy was indicted on charges of involuntary manslaughter, felonious assault and endangering children after the Mount Vernon boy died on October 8th.

Prosecutors say the boy died as the result of a serious brain injury sustained in a fall down a flight of stairs in his home on October 6th. Bond has been set at $100,000 for Colopy.

No future court dates have been set in the case.
