A former Fairfield County village fiscal clerk has pleaded guilty to a count of theft in office.

Sandra Casey served as the fiscal clerk for Lithopolis from 2006 through 2008.

The third degree felony charge has a maximum sentence of five years behind bars and a $10,000 fine.

Casey will be sentenced within the next two weeks.
