At the most recent meeting of the Licking County Tea Party, President Juanita Hockingberry announced that the grassroots political action group is changing its name effective immediately. The new name is Organizing for Freedom. Said Hockingberry, "The growth we’ve been seeing since April 15th

is amazing…Many people knew they wanted a change in the way government does business; but with each new day, these same good people are becoming more and more alarmed at all the radical, costly changes they didn't bargain for." She also stated that the 912 groups are "vastly popular….Glenn Beck has re-ignited the American Spirit!" and that this group is now a part of that organization. Hockingberry recently attended a meeting of 912 representatives and accepted the opportunity to be the Newark representative. People who inquire about 912 groups in our area will be referred to Organizing for Freedom, along with the current stream of interest that is forming in the region. The group will maintain autonomy, while using the networking abilities available to the Tea Party and 912 groups,

Organizing for Freedom meets regularly at Stacey’s Buffet on 30th Street in Heath. The next meeting will be on December 3, at 6:30 p.m. Those who would like to enjoy the buffet should arrive early, as the restaurant closes at 8:00.
