Fire Departments from Licking, Franklin, and Fairfield Counties battled a fire at a painting business in far southwest Licking County early this morning.

The blaze was reported at SJ Professional Painting on Columbus Street in Pataskala around 12:30 a.m.

First reports indicate a truck parked near the building caught fire, and the flames spread to the building.

The West Licking Fire District confirms four firefighters were hurt after part of a ceiling collapsed on them.

Two were sent to Mount Carmel East where they were treated and released and two were treated at the scene.

A damage estimate and cause of the fire could be available later this afternoon.
