The Muskingum County Commissioners have approved a fee raise to help with the building department’s financial difficulties.

The Department currently has a negative balance of $58,000.

The flat rate has been raised to 10% while the re-inspections have also gone up.

The move was approved by a vote of 2 to 1 with Brian Hill voting no.
