Delaware County authorities have arrested a 40-year-old Ostrander man in the death of his wife on Friday.

Sheriff Walter Davis III says that Daniel Fry was taken into custody and is being held in the Delaware County Jail.

Officials say Fry and his wife 43-year-old Mary Fry got into a verbal disagreement Friday morning and it ended with Daniel picking up his handgun and shooting Mary.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene on Mills Road shortly after 8 a.m. Friday morning.

Officials are continuing to investigate the case.
